Check out the all new PicTapGo+ for FREE in the App Store!
We've completely overhauled PicTapGo, and re-launched it as PicTapGo+. Head to the App Store to download this brand-new app today.
The original PicTapGo (this app) has been renamed to PicTapGo Classic, and we're retiring it from service after nearly 8 years in the App Store. We'll be issuing critical bug fixes where possible, but all future development will be on PicTapGo+ (seriously - check it out - it's sliiiiick).
This version of PicTapGo Classic fixes photo library authorization for iOS 14, and bumps the number of History entries up to 30.

Apr 21, 2020 Version 3.18.2
Thanks for making PicTapGo one of the best-reviewed photo apps in the App Store! 5 Stars after 7 years! We love you!
Here's what's new:
- Fixed "Error Reading Edit Data" message in the app extension
- Fixed for batch editing screen selecting the wrong image (way at the bottom of the list)
- Fixed (again, hopefully) grid lines when using filters that add grain

Thanks for making PicTapGo one of the best-reviewed photo apps in the App Store! 5 Stars after 7 years! We love you!
Here's what's new:
- Adds the Save Recipe button back to the Share screen (major oops on our part), however, it's moved to the share options method at the bottom of the screen
- Fixes a crash on iPads when trying to use the new sorting options when picking an image to edit
- Adds the option to restore a backup of your settings from before v3.15
- Fixes the Canvas Inset slider's scaling so the default amount is 50, rather than 43 (this maps to the same actual value as a setting of 43 in v3.18.0, but just looks nicer to be centered at 50)
- Falls back to the most recent good backup in the event there's an error reading your settings

Version 3.18 adds new canvas options to the sharing screen. Since the original PicTapGo, we've had special options for sharing to Instagram, which offered different canvas layouts (crop square, full image on a square canvas, floating image on a square canvas). Now you can preview your image on the canvas of your choice before hitting the Instagram button, even adjusting the amount of inset for the floating option right on the share screen.
But wait! There's more! You can also use the new canvas options with ANY share option, not just Instagram. Aaaaaand (drumroll...) you can *batch process* images onto the canvas of your choice. So for all you floating canvas fans, your canvas choice will also apply to any images you batch process as well (hello, workflow!).
In addition to the new canvas options, we've also tackled a bug that caused "gridlines" to appear in the output image with certain filters, and (hopefully) fixed a bug where recipes and history were resetting on every app launch.

I *think* we finally have a handle on the issue where images were drawn incorrectly / cropped / distorted in the editor. Thanks for your patience while we slogged through figuring out what was wrong.
Also, you can now sort your images in the file browser by creation date, or modification date, so if you're the kind of person that likes your edited pictures to appear first, there.'s a way to do that now. (This also fixes a bug where "preserve original creation date" wasn't actually doing what it was supposed to).

3.16.4 squashes more bugs...
- Users on iOS 12 and earlier would see certain filters appear brighter than they should be in the preview on the edit screen
- The glow has been removed from Super Fun Happy (making it look like earlier versions of PicTapGo, rather than our desktop products)

This update is, from a technical perspective, our Biggest Update EVER, but if we did it right, you won't notice at all. Long story short, this is a major internal rewrite that paves the way for version 4.0, which should be right around the corner, now that all that code from 2014 has been modernized and razzle-dazzled.
In the meantime, here's the stuff that's updated, that you can actually see - if you notice anything broken, let us know at gettotallyrad.com/support
- Many filters have been updated in subtle ways, to reflect the way they should have looked way back in 2014, but which wasn't technically feasible at the time. Essentially, they should look identical to their counterparts in our desktop photo editor, PixelSugar, because they now share the same rendering engine (see things like Old Skool and Lux).
- PicTapGo now requires iOS 11 (to take advantage of Apple's Metal framework).
- We've removed all non-English localizations for the time being (sorry!). Hopefully we can bring these back at a future date.
- Progress indicators when dealing with iCloud-based images, and some general improvements when dealing with cloud-based photo libraries.
- Initial app loading and final photo rendering should be a *little bit* snappier.
- PicTapGo now automatically backs its data up. You can also manually backup and restore everything (including your recipes) from the settings screen.
- Recipes now use a new format. You can still import old recipes, but recipes are saved and exported in the new format.
